Thommankuthu Waterfalls is a lesser-known tourist destination nestled in the dense forests of Idukki district, Kerala. It is near Thodupuzha town and can be visited on a day trip from Munnar. Thommankuthu Falls isn’t one large waterfall but a series of waterfalls cascading in seven steps spread over 12 km. It is a part of River Kannadiyaar. And every waterfall forms a pool, where you can swim.

Areeckal Waterfalls.

The Areeckal waterfalls is hardly one hour drive from Cochin and either we can take deviation from Thodupuzha- Muvattupuzha Road or from Piravom to reach there. Areeckal water falls is one of the small enthusiastic water falls situated in Ernakulam district near Pampakuda. Only 1 hr traveling from Cochin and less than half an hour travelling from Muvattupuzha.

How to reach Valara waterfalls? Lying 39 km from Munnar, the Valara Waterfalls is situated between Adimali and Neriamangalam on the Munnar to Kochi highway (NH49). Valara Waterfalls can be reached by hiring a Blue Bird Travels taxi or by bus running between Munnar and Kochi.

Cheeyappara Waterfalls is a beautiful waterfall on the highway to Kochi. This is one of the most marvellous natural waterfalls in Kerala, located between Neriamangalam and Adimali. It is a spectacular sight to watch, water pouring down over seven stops and this unique scene draws a lot of tourist attention. It is situated near Adimali town.
